This document provides guidance for users to effectively utilize their Texting app within ProConnect with Webex.

Basics of Contact and Group Lists and Creation

You can create and manage contacts beyond adding a single phone number.

    1. The Contacts tab displays an alphabetical list of saved contacts. Search for a contact or tap one to view the text history.
    2. Tap the more icon next to a contact to view, edit, or delete. The same option is available in the Messages tab.

    1. Tap the Plus icon at the bottom of the Contacts tab to add a new contact or bulk import contacts.

    1. To add a single contact, Enter a mobile number, which is required, and tap the green checkmark to save.
    2. To import bulk contacts, tap the Plus icon then select Import Contacts.

      1. Confirm the import and click Submit.

      1. Click Download Sample to ensure the correct format.
      2. Save the sample file, then open it in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.

      1. Enter mobile numbers as 10-digit strings.
      2. Additional fields are optional.

        Note: If using External ID, it can link contacts to a CRM or reporting system

      3. Remove sample data and save your updated file.

      1. Reopen the Import Contacts menu, tap Choose File.

      1. Select your saved .csv file.
        Toggle the option to update existing contacts if needed.

    You can choose to update your existing contacts or not with the toggle on the page.

    Now, you’ll see the file name and the list of contacts and the number of contacts to be imported.

      1. Tap Submit to complete the import.

      1. Once the process is complete, imported contacts appear in the Contacts tab.
